The Western Avocado Omelette is my go to healthy breakfast. It’s quick and easy but more importantly … delicious! Why I love this breakfast recipe so much is because it is a great boost to start your day off right. It’s about a half and half balance between protein, and vegetables which means you are being provided with protein, potassium, vitamin A, fiber, and many other necessary nutrients and vitamins. This will wake up your bowls and speed up your metabolism.
What you’ll need:
Diced Green Peppers
Diced White Onion
1. Scramble egg and add the onions and peppers.
2. When it’s about half way cooked add a slice of cheese.
3. Slice the avocado and add it on top when the omelette is finished cooking.
4. Add red pepper for some spice!
Prep and cook time is about 10-15 minutes and well worth it!
All of these vegetables are likely to promote heart health and reduce heart disease. That red pepper will kick your metabolism into action for those of you looking to loose weight. Avocados contain many benefits. They support the inflammatory system, control blood pressure, lower cholesterol, reduce chances of cancer, promote eye health, skin care and anti-aging.
Also, besides the positive impact these nutritious foods will have on your physical body, I always feel productive, happy and healthy when I start my day by treating myself to a wholesome breakfast!
